In the UK, EA Sports FC 24's physical launch was the second largest of the year. Even though it trailed behind The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it outperformed Hogwarts Legacy. However, compared to FIFA 23's performance the previous year, physical launch sales for EA Sports FC 24 decreased by 30%. The only exception was for Nintendo Switch, which saw increased launch sales.

The decline in overall sales demonstrates the ongoing trend towards digital game purchases. Evidently, consumers are increasingly choosing digital copies over physical boxed versions.
